CELPIP-General practice

Sit the test
before test day.

Full-length CELPIP tests that look, sound and time out like the real one. When you sit the exam, nothing on the screen will be new.

Four sections, built screen by screen.

01

Listening

6 parts · 38 questions · 47–55 min

  • In Parts 1 to 3, each question is spoken once, with 30 seconds to answer.
  • Conversations, a news item, a three-person discussion and a viewpoints report, each played only once.
  • A scene photo for every conversation and the discussion.
Listening Part 1 screen: test instructions above a photo of a tenant and her building superintendent at a leaking kitchen sink.
02

Reading

4 parts · 38 questions · 55–60 min

  • Each part on one screen: the text on the left, the questions on the right.
  • Blanks are drop-downs inside the sentence, exactly where the gap is.
  • Flyers and maps for the diagram part, not plain text.
Reading Part 2 screen: an airport terminal guide on the left, an email with drop-down blanks on the right.
03

Writing

2 tasks · 53 min

  • A spell-checker that underlines mistakes, as on test day, but never fixes them for you. A live word count.
  • An email with three points to cover, then a survey with Option A or B.
  • Each task on its own clock: 27 minutes, then 26.
Writing Task 2 screen: a survey question with Option A and Option B, beside the answer box with a live word count.
04

Speaking

8 tasks · 15–20 min

  • A preparation bar, then “Start speaking now.” Recording begins by itself.
  • No replay and no going back, so every answer counts.
  • Task 5 in two parts, with the third option you have to argue against.
Speaking Task 3 screen: a busy train platform picture beside preparation and recording timers.

Questions

Is this the official CELPIP test?

No. Gurdhian is independent practice material, not affiliated with Paragon Testing or the Government of Canada. Every question is written from scratch in the official format, so the real test feels familiar.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes. Test 1 of Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking is free, with no card. You need a free account only to get Writing and Speaking marked and to save your progress.

What do I get for $29.97?

All 40 tests, ten in each section, plus 10 grammar lessons with quizzes, for 30 days. It is one payment: access ends by itself after 30 days and you are never charged again unless you choose to buy another month.

How are Writing and Speaking marked?

Automatically, against the published CELPIP performance standards, on the same four skills and 1–12 levels as the official report. Speaking answers are turned into text first. It is a practice estimate, not an official score.

Do I need a computer?

A laptop or desktop is best, because the real test is taken on a computer. Speaking needs a microphone; your browser will ask for permission.

Can I get a refund?

No. All sales are final, because every test is available the moment you pay. That is why Test 1 of each section is free: try it first and buy only if it suits you.
